Enjoy a unique, interactive and prehistoric experience!
Inaugurated in July 2010, Nestploria is the digital interpretation center of the Gargas caves. This museographic space, fully equipped with digital devices, allows you to enrich your knowledge and complete the guided tour of the caves. You can move around Nestploria in total autonomy, adding to your knowledge of Gargas and contemporary prehistory through the medium of new technologies (touch screens, large digital table, atmospheric or scientific films, etc.).
The fruit of scientific labor!
Nestploria offers scientific content accessible via digital tools, to share the exceptionally rich and varied heritage of Gargas. Nestploria's content reflects current knowledge about caves. Nestploria's discourse is the fruit of the work of a scientific committee chaired by Jean Clottes, a world expert on decorated caves.
Nestploria and its devices offer a digital presentation of this discourse, providing playful reading keys accessible to all, after or before your visit to the Gargas caves.
Nestplori@, an active, fun and exciting journey for everyone.
Nestploria takes you on a journey back in time, exploring knowledge about Gargas. Here, the stages are called : Il était une fois Gargas, Un monde de mains, La Préhistoire à portée de main, Le sanctuaire des mains, Mystère et savoir, Dessine-moi un mammouth, Donne-moi ta main ou Gargas pour toujours…
Nestploria allows you to literally and figuratively "touch" the prehistoric world of Gargas. It's a tactile and interactive invitation to immerse yourself in prehistory, discovering spaces inaccessible during a visit, tracing animal engravings on the wall, studying the mystery of painted hands, learning what threatens or protects decorated caves, and finally leaving a virtual handprint… The content is offered in the form of animations and games.
Learning while having fun, sharing an experience with family and friends… these are the pleasures Nestplori@ has to offer!
